Our General meeting on October 21 st , 2025, in the Edisto Room at Pinckney Hall included a full room, with 85 members attending… we were pleased to host 10 guests, and had 25 renewals for 2026.
The meeting was opened with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance.
There was a discussion in the group about candidates for board positions, led by Phil Perine, Nominating Chairman.
Guest Speaker – Karen Wyld
Karen Wyld, Executive Chairperson of the Jasper County GOP, addressed the meeting with the following bullet points:

Christmas Party, Dec. 9 at The Oaks in Ridgeland.

Karen stepped down as Jasper County GOP Chair and is taking on the position of Executive Chairwoman for Jasper County.

The new chairman, who is taking Karen Wyld’s place, introduced himself to members and gave a short overview of his goals.
Guest Speaker – Mark Smith
We were lucky to have Mark Smith (Candidate for Congress) speak to us and entertain questions from our membership and guests. Mark, from Daniel Island, is currently the District 99 Rep in the State House in Columbia.
